The members of the Iota Alpha Omega Chapter welcome all members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.

As we operate in AKAExcellence in the new year we will continued to uphold the ideals that our founders envisioned for service thru leadership, education, and community involvement. Since December 6, 1969, we've grown by leaps and bounds striving to provide "service all mankind".

​Monthly Chapter Meeting
Monthly chapter meetings are open to duly initiated members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Proof of membership is required and must be verified prior to entering the meeting. Meeting time and location is as follows:

Every first Saturday (Location is subject to change)

​1:00 P.M. - Fellowship and Sisterly Relations Activity

2:00 P.M. - Chapter Meeting

NOTE: There are no meetings held in July and August. Please CLICK HERE .

Planning On Attending A Meeting

In accordance with the National Standard Operating Guidelines and/or Chapter Protocol, visiting members are asked to provide proof of membership for meeting entry. Primary identification may include any government issued ID. Secondary identification may include, but are not limited to:

  • A current or past financial card (in most cases, the name listed should match the primary ID; exceptions: maiden name, married name)

  • A copy of your original membership certificate signed by our Corporate Office

  • Letter signed by our Corporate Office Membership Department verifying your membership (773.684.1282)

  • A receipt from a Cluster, Regional Conference or Boule that contains your name​

 

Business attire is required for chapter meetings. Business attire does not include jeans, t-shirts, or sneakers. If you have any questions, please contact the Membership Committee CLICK HERE .

PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS

Candidacy for membership into Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority is by invitation only and open to women of high ethical and scholastic standards who have obtained an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college or university.
