Pastor Nikki T Wimberly
Serving the community in the Hudson Valley for more than 17 years, she had a heart for the less fortunate long before she was ever given a title. Overcoming many adversities in her life has given her the wisdom and the experience when reaching out to those less fortunate than herself. Those who are experiencing crisis have found that Pastor Nikki has a divine understanding and can relate to their situations in a unique way. With a passion for the youth Pastor Nikki is a Ny state licensed foster parent for over 10 years. This compassion for young people in crisis catapulted her into her now ministry of Open Arms transitional housing. Open Arms transitional housing has been in operation for six years. It is a privately owned Home for young people who find themselves in crisis with a focus on young mothers and their children who have been displaced or who have escaped unhealthy living conditions or conflicts in their previous living situations. Pastor Nikki has taken on this endeavor selflessly by purchasing a home and using it to house these young women and their children. She is the primary financial provider. She receives occasional help from the community resources and generous financial donors, Open Arms has a food pantry that also helps to subsidize the mothers in need. Pastor Nikki believes that with the help of the community and the kindness that we pour out to each other we can help get people who have hit hard times back on their feet back into the community to be productive citizens but most of all we can be the ones to help facilitate healing in their lives. pastor Nikki believes, Rebuilding families Has always required the help of God and The Hearts and hands of our neighbors.
